Welcome to the Ozark Region Workforce Investment
Board!
Developing and maintaining a high quality workforce is critical to attracting
and retaining business in the Ozark Region. It is the charge of the Workforce
Investment Board to develop and sustain a unified, cost- effective labor
market system that facilitates economic development and business growth
in our community.
As the WIB Chairperson, a business person and an active member of our
community, I am excited about the high quality of information and services
that our workforce system provides. Our system, known as Missouri Career
Center, is user friendly and is highly responsive to the needs of both
the individual training/job applicant and/or the business seeking assistance.
The Ozark Region Workforce Investment Board is a partnership of local
businesses, government, education, labor and human services agencies working
together to provide a one-stop approach to the delivery of workforce development
services. Through this partnership, over twenty separate local, federal
and state employment, education and training programs are now available
through a single point of contact under one roof. These “One-Stop
Career Centers”are conveniently located in both the Springfield and
Branson areas.
I believe the best is yet to come! Through continued collaboration with
our partners we will continue to streamline operations, eliminate duplication
in the workforce system and ultimately develop a seamless system that will
benefit all of our community.
