Are you facing difficulties where you might need to reduce your workforce, or close?
Sometimes companies need to make hard decisions
which result in mass layoffs or closure. The affected workers and their
company need to get help as quickly as possible. Initiated by the
Missouri Division of Workforce Development, the Rapid Response Program
has one bottom-line mission: To alleviate unemployment and econimic
distress by getting laid-off workers back to work.
Upon learning of a company closure or major
layoff, a Rapid Response Team contacts the employers to schedule a
meeting as soon as possible to explain the available benefits and
services. Rapid Response provides pre-layoff services to workers and
also crates a more positive atmosphere between management and labor.
